By downloading, installing or using the Cineva application (com.cineva.app), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. Service Description
Cineva is a mobile application for discovering movies and TV shows. Key features include:
- Movie/TV Discovery: Access to TMDB's extensive catalog with detailed information, trailers and actor profiles
- Personalized Recommendations: Movie/TV suggestions based on your Daily Vibe mood selection
- Swipe Match: Tinder-style swiping mechanism for movie discovery
- AI Chat: Google Gemini-powered AI assistant for movie recommendations (5 messages/day)
- Mini Games: Emoji Quiz, Blur Quiz, Prop Quiz, Tabu, Timeline games
- Lists: Add movies/shows to liked, watched, saved and custom lists
- Social Features: Add friends, visit profiles, create shared (collaborative) lists
- Gamification: Achievements, badges, streak system and scoreboards
- Reminders: Movie/TV show watch reminders
- Movie Card Sharing: Share custom-designed movie cards on social media
- Reels: Discover movie trailers
- Multi-language: Turkish, English and German support
Movie/TV data is provided by TMDB (The Movie Database) for informational purposes only. Cineva is not a streaming platform and does not provide video streaming services.
2. Account and Registration
2.1 Age Requirement
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Cineva.
- Users aged 13-18 should use the app under parental or legal guardian supervision.
- Accounts found to be under the age limit may be suspended or deleted.
2.2 Account Security
- You are required to provide accurate and current information during registration.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account; do not share your password.
- Report any unauthorized access to your account immediately.
- Each user may only create one account.
2.3 Account Deletion
- You can permanently delete your account via Settings → Delete Account.
- Deletion is irreversible; all data (profile, lists, AI history, achievements, friendships) is permanently removed.
3. Usage Rules
3.1 Acceptable Use
You may use Cineva for personal, non-commercial purposes only.
3.2 Prohibited Conduct
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
- Harassment and bullying: Insults, threats, or discrimination towards other users
- Spam: Mass messaging, repetitive content, meaningless posts
- Fake accounts: Impersonation or creating multiple accounts
- AI limit circumvention: Attempting to bypass the daily 5-message limit through technical means
- API abuse: Unauthorized scraping, collecting, or copying of app data
- Ad fraud: Artificially inflating ad clicks or impressions
- Inappropriate content: Obscene, violent, or illegal content in profile photos or usernames
- Reverse engineering: Attempting to decompile, modify, or copy the app's source code
4. User Content
4.1 Responsibility
You are solely responsible for your profile information, comments, lists and shared content. Do not post illegal, defamatory, or copyright-infringing content.
4.2 License
By uploading content to the app (e.g. profile photo), you grant Cineva a limited, worldwide, royalty-free license to use such content for service delivery. This license terminates when you delete your account.
4.3 Moderation
- You can manage your privacy settings.
- You can block or report other users.
- Content and accounts violating these rules may be removed without notice.
5. AI Assistant
Powered by Google Gemini AI
- The AI assistant is for entertainment purposes only; it does not replace professional film criticism, psychological counseling, or any professional advice.
- AI responses are automatically generated and may not always be accurate or up-to-date.
- A daily limit of 5 messages applies.
- Messages shared with AI are sent to Google Gemini API; avoid sharing sensitive personal information.
6. Intellectual Property
- The design, code, logo and trademarks of Cineva belong to the Cineva Development Team.
- Movie/TV data and poster images belong to TMDB and are subject to TMDB's terms of use.
- Movie trailers are embedded from YouTube.
- Using these materials outside of Cineva is prohibited.
7. Advertising
- Cineva displays ads through Google AdMob.
- Ads may be personalized or contextual.
- You can manage your ad preferences through your device settings.
8. Limitation of Liability
- Cineva is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
- Accuracy of TMDB data, YouTube trailers, and AI responses is not guaranteed.
- The Cineva Development Team shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from app use.
- We are not responsible for outages of third-party services (Supabase, Google, Apple, TMDB).
- Features requiring internet connectivity are expected not to work offline.
9. Service Changes
- We may modify Cineva's features, design, and functionality with or without prior notice.
- Free features may become paid in the future.
- We reserve the right to discontinue the service entirely; reasonable notice will be provided.
10. Account Suspension and Termination
- Accounts violating these terms may be temporarily or permanently suspended.
