This Privacy Policy explains how your personal data is collected, processed, stored and protected when you use the Cineva mobile application (com.cineva.app).
1. Data We Collect
1.1 Account Information
- Email address and password (email registration)
- Google account information (Google Sign-In)
- Apple account information (Sign in with Apple)
- Username and profile photo
- Country and date of birth
1.2 App Activity
- Movie/TV lists: liked, watched, saved and favorite lists
- Daily Vibe: selected moods and vibe history
- Swipe Match: movie matching preferences
- Mini games: Emoji Quiz, Blur Quiz, Prop Quiz, Tabu, Timeline scores
- Achievements: earned badges and statistics
- Streaks: daily usage series data
- Reminders: movie/TV show watch reminders
- Genre preferences: selected movie/TV genres
1.3 Social Interactions
- Friend connections and friend searches
- Shared (collaborative) lists and their contents
- User profile visits
- Block and report records
1.4 AI Chat Gemini AI
- Messages sent to the AI assistant (up to 500 messages stored)
- Daily usage counter (5 messages per day limit)
- Messages are sent to Google Gemini API and are subject to Google's privacy policy
1.5 Technical Data
- IP address, device model, operating system version
- App version and language preference (Turkish, English, German)
- Internet connectivity status
1.6 Advertising Data
- Advertising Network Partners: Google AdMob, Unity Ads, and Facebook (Meta) Audience Network.
- These platforms may collect your advertising identifier (Advertising ID), device information, and personalized ad data to serve you relevant ads.
- You can limit ad tracking at any time through your device's settings.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

⚠️ Third-Party Disclaimer: External websites, applications, or services accessed by clicking on third-party advertisements or links within the Cineva app are entirely outside the control of Cineva. The Cineva Development Team cannot be held liable for the content, privacy practices, data collection methods, or any material/moral damages arising from these external platforms. Visiting external links is entirely at the user's own risk.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Personal data is retained as long as your account is active.
- You can permanently delete your account via Settings → Delete Account.
- Upon deletion, your profile, all lists, AI chat history, achievements, streaks and social connections are permanently removed.
- Some data (e.g. moderation records) may be retained for legal compliance.
5. Data Security
- Data is stored encrypted on Supabase infrastructure.
- Passwords are hashed; never stored in plain text.
- Secure data transmission via HTTPS.
- OAuth 2.0 protocol for secure third-party authentication.
6. Your Rights
Under applicable data protection laws (including Turkish KVKK and EU GDPR where applicable), you have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time

7. International Data Transfers
Our service providers may have servers in different countries (US, EU, etc.). Your data may be transferred internationally with appropriate safeguards in place.
8. Cookies and Tracking
Cineva is a mobile application and does not use traditional web cookies. However, our advertising partners (Google AdMob, Unity Ads, Meta) may use device-level identifiers (IDFA, AAID) for ad personalization. You can opt-out of ad tracking via your device settings.
9. Children's Privacy
- Cineva is not directed at users under 13.
- Parental guidance is recommended for users aged 13-18.
- Adult content filter is available under Settings → Hide Adult Content.
- Accounts of users found to be under 13 may be terminated.
10. Policy Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via in-app notification. The current version is always available on this page.
